A few weeks in, a few months out,
and love will blossom without a doubt.

Luka stretched over her white sheets and yawned tremendously. She had done very little today and she was looking forward to some rest on her day off.
She smiled and giggled in a low voice. For some reason she felt energy pouring through her, even though she knew she should be crashing with exhaustion.
Luka listened as her Master went to sleep. He always retired in the same manner; first there was the low hissing as he extinguished his large black cigars. Luka waited for the noxious smell to seep into her room to know that he was putting his cigar case away. Then came the shuffle of heavy feet as he dragged himself to the bath room.
Luka listened closely as she envisioned each part of his robotic ritual. He would brush his teeth with the toothpaste for sensitivity, then, with the rushing hiss of water he would thoroughly rinse his mouth out. Luka listened to the gentle sigh of clothes falling to the floor as he changed into his pajamas.
When she heard the bathroom door swing open, she imagined him flinging the door open in a melodramatic fashion and light pouring out into the reading room where he roosted for most of his free time. Once Luka heard the click of the light she listened to her Master laboriously climbing the stairs to the hallway where her bedroom was located.
She glanced at her digital clock which glowed with bright blue numbers.
"And…" She whispered in quiet anticipation for the numbers to change from 11:42 to 11:43.
"Now!" She exclaimed.
Right on cue her Master groaned halfway up the stairs. "Mm, I'm getting too old for this house! Why in the world do we need so many stairs?"
Luka put her hand over her mouth to stifle her laughter. He was so predictable it was humorous!
She listened as he opened the creaking door to his room, walked inside, closed the door, flung his sheets up over his head and crawled inside.
Luka listened to the silent old house and toyed with the idea of sleeping. It was true she probably could have used the rest, but she was brimming with some kind of energy. Besides the fact, she had been plagued with vivid, lucid dreams which always ended in a nightmare.
"Luka," That familiar voice was crooning at her window. "You awake?"
Luka rolled over in bed and to her surprise she found her white curtains flapping into her room like silky white ghosts; her window had been pulled open and on the sill sat a familiar-looking silhouette, with his long hair billowing in the light breeze.
"Gakupo!" She hissed with delight and shock. "How did you get up here?"
Gakupo slid off the window sill and into her room like a dream. He rolled his white sleeves back and tipped the fedora he was wearing at her.
"I climbed." He said grinning wickedly. In truth he had shimmied up the gutters and had crept as nimbly as a cat along the narrow ledge until he had reached Luka's window. It was a long, dangerous and arduous climb, but seeing Luka's startled expression lighting up in the shadows of her bedroom made it well worth it.
"What in the world are you wearing?" Luka groaned as she moved to sit at the end of her bed.
Gakupo briefly glanced at his flashy outfit that his managers had chosen for the club he was singing in tonight. It was semi-formal, a white dress shirt with sleeves rolled up past the elbows and a black vest.
"Just the costume from work honey." He smiled taking off hit hat and resting it on her pink vanity that stood next to the window.
Luka held up her covers as a shield in front of her. "Don't come any closer, I'm-I'm indecent!" she whispered fiercely.
"That's how I like you best of all." Gakupo teased sitting next to her on her bed.
Luka let the covers fall, revealing her thin pink nightgown. "Why did you come here, Gakupo?" She asked wearily as she thoughtlessly gathered the fallen covers in a pile on her lap.
Gakupo took her slender wrist in his large, rough hand and gently caressed it with his long fingers. "I came…" He had to think of why he had come here. He hadn't thought about why at the time, he only wanted to see Luka. That was the truth, but it seemed as though there was more…
Gakupo's long silence put Luka on edge as she tried to twist her wrist away from Gakupo's hand.
Gakupo suddenly came up with a startling answer, his face lit up and he smiled secretly, shadowed by darkness.
"I came, to satisfy a hunger."
Luka felt a chill run down her spine, but she was too distracted to notice whether it was the thrill of hope, or a tremor of fear.
"The window was locked, how did you open it?" Luka asked.
"It was locked with a latch." Gakupo said truthfully. "I slid my credit card through the frame." He moved closer to Luka as silently as a breath of wind. He caught the light scent of her shampoo and he imagined it as a light perfume cloud, drifting dreamily and seductively in the air around him.
"I should probably fix that before a real burglar breaks in." Luka thought as Gakupo pushed the hair away from her neck and tenderly tucked it behind her ear. Leaning in to kiss her neck, Gakupo found the fragrance to be heavier and more defined than before. He could tell it was the heavy scent of a flower, and he noticed that instead of just Luka's hair, her whole body seemed to be steeped in the luscious aroma.
Luka leaned onto Gakupo's head, trapping him in between her shoulder and her neck, caught in his kiss. Gakupo smiled as he savored the simple tender moment between them.
But time was short and the stakes were high, so Gakupo decided to suck on her skin.
Luka cried out in a low tone as Gakupo made a sharp loud sucking noise. "Don't do that! You'll leave a mark!"
"I'm sorry, my bad!" Gakupo chuckled as Luka rubbed her neck, clearly annoyed.
"You need to be mindful of your position, Romeo." Luka said, scolding him with her waving finger. "You beat my Master going to bed by a whole three minutes."
"Really." Gakupo whistled. "I could have taken a nap!"
Luka crossed her arms angrily. "It's not funny!" She whispered. "You need to keep quiet!"
Gakupo stared at her terse, white form bathed in the beams from the moon. He thoughtfully reached out and curiously, delicately rubbed her arm. She was as smooth as a rose petal in between his fingertips. He wondered how something that seemed so steady, could feel so soft.
After a few moments of strange, simple silence Gakupo leaned back on her bed, resting on his elbows he whispered "Hey, do you know what?"
Luka sat at the edge of the bed, but she had to lean over Gakupo to hear him when he whispered. Too many concerts and too much loud music had already done a number on her hearing sensors.
"What?" she whispered, casting a shadow over his features and making his expression impossible to discern.
Gakupo suddenly reached out his arm and wrapped it around her shoulders, pulling her down into a kiss. Luka cried out in surprise and quickly tried to stifle her laughter.
"Whispering is pretty sexy." He whispered smiling as he broke away from her kiss.
"So Romeo." Luka asked as Gakupo rolled over top of her, loosening the buttons on his vest. "How far should we go tonight?"
"Wherever Juliet wants." Gakupo said secretly cursing his formal dress as Luka slid her leg up his thigh seductively.
A sudden shadow cast over Luka's expression. "Please don't call me Juliet."
Gakupo looked at her confused. Luka pushed him away and crawled over to the other side of the bed where she crossed her legs shyly.
"Damn." She whispered punching the mattress bitterly.
Gakupo stood up and walked around her bed and gingerly sat next to her hunched shadow.
"Still feeling…" Gakupo asked, though he was never surer about the answer.
"Yes." She answered.
Gakupo rested his head in his hands and sighed. "It's only natural. I'm not going to tell you that it's wrong…"
Luka shook her head. "No." She said firmly. "I've analyzed this EVERY WAY POSSIBLE. It's not right."
Gakupo touched her shoulders lightly. "They're your family." He whispered like a sigh. "You need to trust your emotion programming more than your problem solving software right now."
Luka reached up and touched Gakupo's strong, steady hands so gently that Gakupo almost didn't notice her. Luka's touch was as light as the moon's rays.
"You're my family too, Gakupo." She whimpered, torn.
Gakupo was glad that the room was so dark, because he couldn't help but smile at her loving remark. The Luka of a few weeks ago would never have admitted something so sweet and so personal. Her real personality had bloomed like the flower whose fragrance she was emitting.
Gakupo leaned over to where her hand rested on his and delicately kissed her fingertips. "I love you." He whispered.
Luka smiled, feeling reassured. "I know." She said. "I love you too."
She spun around and the bed groaned under her. "I wish there was a magic to freeze time just like this."
Suddenly Luka heard something moving from down the hallway. Gakupo whose hearing sensors were more acute than Luka's could hear it too. It was he sound of her Master's bed groaning as he rolled out of it.
They both heard his feet hit the floor with a loud and solid "Thump!"
Luka felt a definite chill of fear as she urged Gakupo back to the window. "Get out! Get out!" She hissed as Gakupo tripped over his own feet, the bed, and piles of clothes on Luka's floor.
"When can I see you again?" He asked before it was too late.
"I don't know!" Luka exclaimed imagining her Master's shuffling footsteps getting gradually closer and louder "Never if we get caught!"
As Luka tried to shove Gakupo out the window she heard Master grumble from just outside her bedroom door. "Luka… are you alright? Are you having another nightmare?"
With a panicked gasp Luka flew from the window into her bed and desperately tried to cloak herself with the covers.
Gakupo, who had tripped out the window, now clung to the narrow ledge for dear life. He tried to pull himself up until he heard Luka's bedroom door open. In fright he willed himself to hold on and silenced even his panicked gasps for breath.
Master cracked open Luka's door and threw the light from the hallway over the foot of her bed.
He glanced inside and Luka held her breath as she pretended to be asleep. When he started to step inside Luka's heart began to beat out of her chest, echoing in her eardrums like a wardrum.
"Crap." She swore to herself. "He knows. Or even if he doesn't know, surely he can hear my heartbeat!" She began to panic and forced herself to hold the same placid expression.
Master walked to the foot of Luka's bed and stared at her. She was beautiful in his eyes and he sometimes forgot what a work of art she was when she was moving and talking during the day; but truly she was an engineering feat! A marvel of technology!
Master glanced at the open window and smiled secretly to himself. "But sometimes…" he reminded himself "She can be a little careless." And he walked over to the window which she had left open.
Gakupo saw the shadowed figure step into the moonlight. He was sweating heavily and he couldn't possibly hold his breath for much longer. His fingers were becoming sweaty and tired of holding himself on the ledge. He was slowly slipping, but if her moved now, her Master would see him for sure.
Master extended his arms out and swung the window shut. Gakupo thought to himself "Surely he sees me… I can see every hair on his beard! How can he not see me?"
But as Master latched the window shut it was clear he hadn't seen Gakupo. Gakupo said a silent thank you to the powers of the universe. If Master had even looked down a fraction of an inch, he might have been caught but Master walked away from the window without looking into the yard.
Gakupo gratefully swung from the ledge to the gutter and slid down, unwilling to take any more chances that night. He moved in the darkness along the side of the house hoping that Luka would understand his reluctance to push his luck any further.
As he jumped the wooden fence and landed into the street he was reminded of a narrow passage he had read in a small paperback play a few years back:
"Two households both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge breaks new mutiny,
Where civil hands make civil blood unclean."
For some reason, the prologue had remained in his mind lately, and it chimed in his head non-stop like the lyrics to a song.
"Two households both alike in dignity…" Gakupo mused over the first line as he walked along the back fence of Luka's house, looking up at her window every step or two, wondering if he would be as lucky as to see her face in the window.
By the time he had to turn the corner and find his car, he hadn't seen her face. He was disappointed, but not very much.
He had a much better memory of her white body in the darkness to accompany the ringing verse in his head. "Two households…both alike… What play was that from anyway?" Gakupo was having trouble remembering the name of the play, though it seemed important.
"Fair Verona..." the name of the place should have a clue, but Gakupo was pulling up blanks. He decided to go home and Google the words he could remember.
He chuckled all the way to his car.

Dr. Anthony was no fool.
He was proud to tell anyone who would listen that he had a keen wit and the sharpest eyes around.
Tonight Luka would see him demonstrate that most of his boasting was much more than hot air. He had noticed the fedora resting on the vanity and didn't recognize it as Luka's. It wasn't her style and he had never seen her with it before, and he accompanied her to 80% of the places she went.
He picked it up and carried it with him gently to the kitchen where he opened the door and pretended to get a snack.
When he was satisfied that Luka, if she was still listening, wasn't suspicious he tip-toed into the reading room and retrieved his magnifying glass.
Upon looking over the inside of the hat, Dr. Anthony was able to retrieve numerous hairs of extreme length and shocking purple color, undoubtedly those of Kamui Gakupo.
Dr. Anthony reasoned that he had enough evidence to confront Luka with her deceit, and more than enough leverage over her to use it to his overall advantage, but he folded the hairs into his white handkerchief and carried the hat and the hairs with him into his room.
He sat in his room smoking his long, ivory pipe until the early morning hours when the sun began to inch its way over the horizon.
He had spent those hours thinking. Kamui Gakupo was proving to be an interesting opponent to match. Not only did he have sway over another powerful company; the only company that dared to try and match Crypton Future Media with its Vocaloid androids, He also had quite the significant place in Luka's heart—if androids had such a thing.
Kamui Gakupo was one of the only Vocaloids outside of Crypton to hold a significant standing with fans. If something was to be done with him, it had to be done quietly, or else it would only blow back into his face.
And the only thing Dr. Anthony couldn't stand was humiliation.
He couldn't afford to have Luka taking a tank in popularity either. She was his responsibility, after all.
By the time Luka had gone downstairs to start the day; Dr. Anthony was on the computer, alternating between stroking his black beard and typing.
"Me thinks a play's the thing…" he murmered in a ritual chant as he clicked away at the keyboard. "With which to catch the king."

Gakupo looked at his clock and saw that he only had about four hours of sleep before he had to get up for work anyway, so he decided to fire up his old computer anyway and find out what play the phantom prologue belonged to before it drove him crazy.
He clicked on the internet icon and typed in as much as he could remember and almost instantly Wikipedia popped up with a host of highlighted phrases.
It turns out that the play was Romeo and Juliet.
Gakupo was surprised and he leaned back at the computer desk. He still had the old paper back somewhere in his apartment and he decided to search for it.
He wasn't going to sleep that night anyway, and he had the sudden urge to study the play in more detail.
When in doubt, it's Shakespeare.
This takes place quite a while after chapter 1. Clearly.
I have no idea what to do now, so I think I'll alternate between the past (them falling in love) and the 'present' (What troubles come from being in love) Air quotes around present because it's still written in third person past.

edit: you're not crazy, I've changed the title (Those of you who already faved this)
I can't write alternating between the past and the present ( I just can't) So the next chapter in chronological order is ch 1, this chapter fits in some where, ergo it's chapter ?
Just consider it a sneak preveiw. :) sorry!
If anyone can offer advice about how to use fonts and affects on deviant art, would you kindlyleave a comment? I wanted the little poem at the begining to be italicized only but it will only let me italicize the whole thing, or nothing.
Thanks in advance! :w00t!:

Intro :[link] to your dreams.
